JK Rowling Writing Advice

“I always advise children who ask me for tips on being a writer to read as much as they possibly can. Jane Austen gave a young friend the same advice, so I’m in good company there.”

Quote from JK Rowling.

  1. You know I read a lot as a youth. Then when I began to write I began to stop reading others for fear of using ideals. I wanted to be original. But as I get back into reading I feel inspiration and can really tell the styles of writing that I would like to achieve. Very good advice. You my friend are in very good company 🙂

    • I did the same thing! I was afraid of plagiarising the books I read. I love JK Rowling (and Jane Austen!) for giving this advice. ^^ I saw it and just HAD to quote it as a blog all on it’s own. ^^
